Mayor Kurreniemi Kidnapped, Rescued; Suspects Named

Mayor Jukka Kurreniemi was abducted over the weekend of March 15th. The mayor related in a interview with this reporter that he was invited over by a ferret who may or may not have been directly involved in the plot. The individual(s) involved in the incident included two people who were identified by mayor Kurreniemi as Daisy ferret and Morticon Wallaby – the latter of whom is the current vice-mayor of SpinDizzy.

“Eh, Daisy sorta invited me over, though Morticon was there to take me when we got to her place. I dunno how much she knew about it, though,” said the mayor. Though he was confined, he said “Conditions were fine. I had a little prison bed, a shower, a toilet. They fed me three times a day.”

Later, during a SED (Society of Evil Doers) dinner party held in honor of Shiny Day on March 17, the mayor was freed in dramatic fashion by citizens of SpinDizzy.

More details to follow soon.

I’m glad that Jukka was uninjured in the kidnapping.

I’m also rather glad there’s looking to be an attempt to hold an evildoer accountable for his actions, too. The community’s been very tolerant of mischief, but it does seem like kidnapping goes a bit beyond social norms. Even should Morticon be acquitted I rather like the principle being established.

[ I should note I’m speaking as a character, and not as wizard nor as head wizard. ]

Daisy was nice to me, and I didn’t get kidnapped. I bet we’d have far less of it if we’d stop recklessly electing mayors. Clearly it just gives kidnappers a target.
